How does hertz albany airport stay in business?

HI,

WOW...not a good company! High pressure to upgrade from the second you walk up to the counter to get your reserved car. Then when I declined, the car I did get didn't have cruise control...in 2015??!! LOL. They did , however, give me a car with no license plate light which a sheriff deputy pulled me over and grilled me for 15 minutes. I am just glad I decided to skip the wine with dinner at the Equinox. When I dropped the car off...I had taken a whole bunch of pictures of the nicks and dings on the car because of comments I read here about this company, and told them what happened, I didn't get an apology but I did get a statement I would be charged $18 because it was 1.5 gallons short of full (that's over $10 a gallon of gas). My question is...how do these people stay in business?? Horrible customer service. Horrible service attitude. Are there that many people like me who have never tried Hurtz before? I wont be going back to them ever. How does this place survive? Unless all the rental places at the Albany airport are just as bad??
